Who operates this site
Crown Stack Systems, Oshawa, Ontario, Canada, operates trustledger.net and the Trust Ledger platform.
Questions about this policy, or about anything on this site, go to info@trustledger.net and are answered by a person.
What this site collects from you
Nothing that identifies you. There are no accounts on this site, no newsletter signup, no advertising, no analytics product, no tracking pixels and no third-party trackers.
The site sets no cookies of its own. If your browser remembers anything from this site, it is your own browser doing it, not us.
Cookies and your choices
There is nothing on this site that profiles you, follows you to another site, or builds an audience out of you. Nothing optional runs unless you switch it on.
The choices bar records one thing, in your own browser, under one key: whether you allowed anonymous measurement. It is not sent to us, it is not shared, and clearing your browser data removes it. Declining is one click, exactly like accepting.
Anonymous measurement means counts of which pages get read. It is switched off today and nothing is running behind it. If we ever turn it on, it will only run for people who allowed it here, and this policy will say what it is before it does.
Advertising and profiling cookies are not used, not planned, and cannot be switched on.
Change your mind at any time from Cookie and privacy choices at the foot of any page.
The walkthrough request form
The form on the Book a walkthrough page sends what you type to this website. That is: your name, your firm if you give one, your email, your phone number if you give one, the kind of practice you picked, and your notes.
Alongside it we record the time, the IP address the request came from, and your browser's user agent string, because a form that accepts anything from anywhere gets abused.
The request is written to a request log on our server and emailed to info@trustledger.net, which is where a person reads it and answers you. It is not sent to any third-party form service, marketing tool or advertising network, and it is never sold. We keep it while we are talking to you and delete it afterwards.
If your browser cannot reach our server, the form falls back to opening your own email client with the same details, and nothing is sent until you send it yourself.
You never have to use the form. Writing directly to info@trustledger.net reaches the same mailbox.
Server logs
The server that hosts this site keeps ordinary web server request logs: the IP address a request came from, the time, the page requested, and the browser's user agent string. They exist so we can keep the site up and see abuse, and they are discarded on a rolling basis.
We do not build profiles from them, combine them with anything else, or give them to anyone for marketing.
Typefaces loaded from Google Fonts
This site loads its typefaces from Google Fonts. That means your browser requests a font file from Google, and Google receives your IP address and the fact that a page on this site asked for it. We receive nothing from that request.
If your browser blocks it, the site falls back to a typeface already on your machine and everything still works.
The client portal is separate
The Trust Ledger portal, where clients and staff sign in, is a different application with its own agreement and its own privacy terms, presented to you when you sign in. This policy covers this marketing site only.
For identity verification inside the product: the verification outcome is retained as part of the record. The biometric data itself is not retained. Consent is recorded against the jurisdiction the person is in.
Your rights
Under Canadian federal privacy law you can ask what personal information we hold about you, ask for it to be corrected, and complain to the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada if you are not satisfied with how we answered.
Write to info@trustledger.net and say what you want. There is no form for it.
Changes to this policy
